Good is the enemy of great

I heard this quote the other day and it has been in my spirit everyday since then. "Good is the enemy of great."
Understanding the difference between good and bad is EASY. A child knows that killing and stealing is BAD. Sharing and loving are good. Aside from someone who may have some medical issues, those types of choices are easy. What about when the lines are a bit more "blurred?" What if you are working and things are going relatively well... but in your heart there's this pull? Maybe it's God trying to tell you that you might be doing good, but just around the corner greatness is waiting for you.
It's not always so easy to recognize the difference between good, better and best. Unless it's someone else life right!? We always know what's best for everyone else in our lives don't we;0) A songwriter by the name of Rob Biagi wrote these lyrics... "I bring me to you (God) * like you asked me to * and I'm quiet." I believe that it is in these quiet moments we can hear the voice of God. After all, it's pretty hard to listen and talk all at the same time. Perhaps then, your good will be defeated by your greatness.
